Gina's Story

Isabella Grace made her entrance into the world on August 11, 2012 at 5:40 p.m. weighing just 2 lbs 7 ounces at exactly 27 weeks.

She was immediately transferred to the Magee NICU here in Pittsburgh which became our home away from home for the next 75 days.

Isabella was a fighter from the very beginning pulling out tubes out and always giving the nurses and doctors a run for their money!

Throughout our journey, we made so many NICU friends and were a support system for each other.  We knew we wanted to find some way to give back to others once we were settled.  Through Project Sweet Peas’ mission, we are able to help so many families and support NICUs across Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
