About Us

Project Sweet Peas is a 501(c)3 national non-profit organization coordinated by volunteers, who through personal experience have become passionate about providing support to families of premature or sick infants and to those who have been affected by pregnancy and infant loss.

Project Sweet Peas acknowledges the importance of parental involvement in caregiving and decision-making in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and seeks to promote family-centered care (FCC) competencies in hospitals nationwide. Care packages, hospital events, peer-to-peer support, financial aid, educational materials, and other Project Sweet Peas services, support the cultural, spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of families as they endure life in the NICU.

Project Sweet Peas makes a lifelong commitment to support families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. In a baby’s last moments, families are encouraged to make cherished memories with custom Project Sweet Peas keepsake items. Healing and remembrance continue to be fostered through programming such as peer-to-peer support, and our annual candlelight vigil.

Through our services, we give from our hearts, to inspire families with the hope of tomorrow.

On July 1st 2020 I had an emergency c section at 24 weeks with my mono mono boys Charlie and Ollie. Weighing in at 1lb 12oz and 1lb 13oz our world was flipped upside down. On July 4th we lost our Ollie. There are no words to describe the devastation we felt. The loneliness of being in a club that no one signs up for was crushing. Corin Nava and PSP gave us support, comfort and such kindness during the most difficult period of our lives.... there's no words that can quite capture how this helped us. The days I wanted to give up I remembered that I wasn't alone. 154 days in the NICU with Charlie and PSP helped us to connect with our baby that didn't feel like ours. I will forever support PSP for supporting us when we desperately needed it ♡

When we were admitted to the NICU we were given our St. Patty’s Day gift bag. Our 4 year old carried it back and forth every day. It was a comfort to her while her Mom and baby sister couldn’t be home with them... Fast forward 65 days later we were given many more gifts while we worked to get our Little Sweet Pea home. It meant so much to all of us. Thank you Sweet Pea Project!

Project Sweet Peas is amazing. When I had my triplets at 31 weeks 5 days they were wisked away to the NICU. Being in the hospital became part of our every day Life. One day we received an amazing care package in the mail from Project Sweet Peas. It was nice to know that there were other people out there who understood what we were going through because we felt very alone. Thank you for your love and support.

What a wonderful organization! I had twin boys at 23 weeks and 2 days gestation. One of my sons passed away at 5 days old and we were gifted a beautiful memory box to cherish his beautiful life. Our other son spent 143 days in the NICU and Project Sweet Peas helped our family with amazing care packages, something never experienced before during a hospital stay. It's the little things that make a big impact. I will be forever grateful for Corin and everyone else at Project Sweet Peas!

We received a package from project Sweet Peas while we were in the NICU with our 3 month premature baby. The package contained so many helpful things during our stay. The support this organization provides to parents and children in the NICU is so helpful and comforting. This is a world class organization providing a much needed service.

We were first introduced to Project Sweet Peas 5 years ago when our twins were born at 23+ 0 weeks. It was the support of Co founder Corin that helped me get through the loss of our daughter and our sons 137 day nicu stay. It was nice to come into our room at the nicu and have a car package from PSP ( we still wear our green bracelets 5 years later) and I will always treasure our memory box they gave us after our daughter passed. One of my favorite memories was our Halloween photo shoot they put on for the families, and I loved to help make costume for future nicu families after we were discharged. Every year we look forward to the plunge for preemies, and can’t wait to see what they have in store for this up coming years celebration. I could go on FOREVER about how amazing Project Sweet Peas is and why we love them so much ❤️

Project Sweet Peas is absolutely amazing. The love and support that they show to every single NICU patient and us parents is something I know my husband and I will never forget. Sweet Peas goes above and beyond to make your day a little brighter. Thank you for all you do, Sweet Peas ❤️

Project Sweet Peas made our NICU stay a little easier. When we requested a care package, I had no idea what I was doing or if I should have even reached out. I was a terrified mom with such a tiny baby to look after. When we recieved our package, it came with a bag, a pin, a book, and some milestone stickers, along with a few other things. These items which meant so little to a regular person meant so much to my family. To this day I still use the items that were given to our family, and when another mom who enters the shoes I once walked in sees my bag or pin, I gladly tell her my story and offer the same resources.

Such thoughtful items in the care package. Useful information along with heartfelt gifts that brought tears to my eyes. My husband and I wear our "Proud Parent of a NICU miricle" bracelets every day.

Project Sweet Peas helped dampen the medical effects of our second son's birth. Their gifts helped remind us that we had just had a happy addition to our family, that through the stress of all the hurdles our baby had to overcome, he was still a sweet little soul who we should celebrate-- all the moments, good or bad. We felt supported, so that we could be there for our baby.
