Project Sweet Peas Announces Executive Director
Friends,
We are thrilled to announce that the Board of Directors has appointed Corin Nava as the first Executive Director for Project Sweet Peas.
Since our beginnings, Corin has served as Treasurer for the Board of Directors and as a Coordinator for the Southern New England division of Project Sweet Peas. In her role, Corin led the organization from serving several hundred families a year to a robust nationwide community of divisions impacting thousands of families.
"Corin’s exemplary service, compassionate spirit and leadership over the past 12 years has brought support to countless parents enduring the difficult journey of life with a critically ill child and to families experiencing the unimaginable loss of a baby. Corin's passion and her wealth of knowledge in fundraising, program development, and financial management will be pivotal as we enter a new strategic plan for the organization. Corin is an excellent choice to champion and execute our short- and long- term goals as an organization." - Sarah King, President
In her new role as Executive Director, Corin will work directly with our Board of Directors, community partners, division volunteers and all stakeholders to continue to drive expansion and excellence in our programming. Corin’s overall focus will be on daily programmatic execution, fundraising leadership, providing support and guidance to volunteers, and building capacity nationally.

"For over a decade we have been a small but mighty team of volunteers with a big mission, and as this mighty team we have accomplished more than I ever thought possible, reaching out and touching the lives of over 100,000 families. Over the years our organization has seen tremendous growth, with the need for our services ever increasing. With this growth and rising demand, it has become clear that in order to fulfill our mission to the fullest, we can no longer function as an all volunteer run organization. It has become increasingly apparent that we need to have dedicated staff available to effectively provide the training, support, and resources to our volunteers, and assure that we can meet the needs of the families that we serve. I am humbled and honored to have been given this opportunity to lead the organization as the first Executive Director.
Project Sweet Peas has been a true passion of mine over the past 12 years as it has grown from a concept to the national non-profit serving thousands of families that it is today.
I am excited for the future of Project Sweet Peas and look forward to taking us to the next level."
